Clark + Hopkins Assam Hot Sauce
Yeah, yeah, the Assam hot sauce was on Season 7 of Hot Ones. But did you know that it's also a Specialty Food Association Sofi award winner for being one of the world's best new hot sauces? Now there's something to brag about, people!
As you may or may not know, each Clark & Hopkins hot sauce is inspired by the flavors and ingredients of a particular region (see our video review of the Clark & Hopkins Oaxaca hot sauce, for example). In this particular case, that region is of course Assam, which is a state in northeastern India and home to the ghost pepper -- which is why the ghost pepper is also known as the bhut jolokia pepper.
The Clark & Hopkins Assam hot sauce uses both the ghost pepper and the 7 pot primo pepper for heat -- so you can be sure that this hot sauce does indeed bring it when it comes to heat. The apple cider vinegar and the tamarind will give the Assam hot sauce a slight fruitiness, while garlic, mustard seed, and other spices all show up to make a flavorful whole.
Clark and Hopkins suggests using this sauce along with reduced coconut milk for "an amazingly quick yet complex curry" -- and just reading that sounds amazing, so we can't wait to try it that way!
But don't wait and take our word for it -- grab some today and get going on this hot and flavorful sauce!
